Egg Carton Chicken Craft

This fun egg carton craft is easy as can be and a great activity for your family. Using just a few household supplies and a little extra time, you can make these cute egg carton chickens to decorate your kitchen. Use them to hold your eggs while baking, or set them out for a bright farmhouse look!Β
TipsΒ
Make sure to use non-toxic craft glue and safety scissors around small children, in addition to providing adult supervision.
Make sure the glue is finished drying before drawing on the eye so the felt doesnβt fall off.
Supplies
- Safety Scissors
- Non-toxic craft glue or mod podge
- Paintbrush for mod podge (if using)
- Red, Orange, and Brown felt
- Empty egg carton
- Black marker
- Empty egg carton
- Black marker
Instructions
1. Cut out the beak, headpiece, and tail feathers from colored felt.
2. Fold the bottom of the headpiece and stuff into the small hole at the top of the pointed piece. Glue beak and tail feathers on to appropriate places. Set out to dry.
3. Once dry, draw on the eye with the marker.
4. Use as decor or as an egg holder when baking or cooking!
